Figments...

ok, fine, but... what's this all about?

So... according to any dictionary we search through, it would be something like 'a contrived or fantastic idea', 'something that you imagine to be real, but doesn't exist', and some of the like. I may not be doing an appropiate or totally correct usage of the term, but I thought it was an interesting word to include everything that's not architectural stuff or characters. And also, it was the only word I could think about that fitted in such a small place as the upper tabs :) (besides, there are still some small little fragments of that awesome Tim Schafer's game in my mind)...
That's why this is maybe the mental room section that contains the widest variety of stuff. Obviously not all of them are figments strictly speaking, most of them are real objects from the real life, with or without added modifications. Technology, vehicles, common objects or even scenes like a simple children's park. Alright so, now that we're clear, let's see those figments...

A new car. A new convertible. More detail and a quite a bit more time invested. Just like the Thunderbird, the basic shape is modeled with NURBS but almost all the modeling is done in polys.

Alright. So here is another figment I've been working on lately... Following some blueprints I sketched the basic shapes with NURBS and then turned into polys to finish the modeling. All the small pieces of the car (mirrors, interior, logo, handles, switches and whatnot) were modeled with polys from scratch.

This was my first attempt with NURBS. In fact not all the modeling was made with NURBS, there's also polygonal modeling... In case you're wondering (and I know you aren't, but just in case) what the heck is 'NURBS', all I can say is that it's just the fancy word to say... curves.
